Moscow, Russia – Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal discussed the issue of Syria and Libya with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Bogdanov and Önal met in the capital Moscow, where progress was noted in the political, military and economic negotiations between the Libyans.

Emphasis was placed on the importance of dialogue between Libyans based on resolutions 2510 of the Berlin Conference and the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

At the meeting, where Syria was also discussed, it was noted the importance of coordinated efforts of Russia and Turkey within the framework of the “Astana process” to resolve the issue within the framework of UNSC resolutions 2254.
