Ankara, Turkey – “We strongly condemn Armenia’s rocket attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.
A written statement from the foreign ministry noted that Armenia is becoming more aggressive every day due to its defeats in the occupied territories.
“We strongly condemn the rocket attack by the Armenian armed forces from the occupied gubadli Rayon to the Ordubad Rayon of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan,” the statement said. Armenia, which has violated the humanitarian ceasefire, has committed war crimes by attacking civilians, and is now trying to move the conflict to other dimensions. Armenia must account well for the consequences of these aggressive actions. Our solidarity with Can Azerbaijan and our Azerbaijani brothers will always be complete,” he said.
The attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, where Turkey’s common border is located, is a “new and dangerous example” of Armenia’s efforts to spread the conflict outside the occupied territory of Azerbaijan, the statement said, stressing that Armenia should give up these dangerous provocations.
