From the use of air defense systems to mortar fire, mines, improvised explosive device destruction to the performance of the forward observer mission, training is provided in many areas.
Turkey, who served in the country at the invitation of the legitimate government of Libya, continues his training in 5 training centers in order to establish the Libyan regular army and ensure that its troops meet international standards.
At the official invitation of the legitimate government of National Reconciliation recognized by the United Nations (UN) in Libya, elements of the Turkish Armed Forces in the country continue their military training, health, humanitarian assistance and advisory duties there.
According to security sources, Libyan Armed Forces personnel are trained in 5 training centers as part of the training support provided for the formation of the Libyan nizami army and the delivery of its troops to international standards.
More than 2 thousand Libyan soldiers have benefited from training in many areas, from the use of air defense systems to mortars, mines, improvised explosive device destruction to the performance of forward surveillance missions. Training of more than 200 personnel of the Libyan army continues.
However, it also provides Frog Man, Coast Guard and base defense training to Libyan Armed Forces personnel.
About 100 Libyan soldiers receive these training takes 4-6 weeks. In addition, about 30 personnel from the Libyan Interior Ministry are also undergoing special operations training. About 500 Libyan police candidates are scheduled to receive training as part of Special Operations Training.
In addition, as part of the agreement reached, Libyan soldiers are also training in Turkey.
In this context, about 1000 Libyan “guest military personnel” received training in Turkey. More than 200 Libyan soldiers are trained, while more than 200 students are studying at military schools affiliated with the National Defense University. In the new academic year, it is planned that Libyan military students will continue to study in military schools.
Security sources stated that they are in favor of the formation of an independent, sovereign and prosperous Libya, led and owned by Libyans, covering all Libyan citizens without exception, ensuring territorial integrity and national unity.
Emphasizing that Libya’s legitimate government is a government of National Accord, the sources noted:
