President Erdogan: new process begins for Marash
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar made the remarks in closed Marash (Varosha). “A new process has begun for Marash (Varosha).” said.
Head of lines from President Erdogan’s speech;
Dear friends of the Press, first of all with you 37.we’re happy to be together on the anniversary.
Imagine 74 years, 2020 years, this place has remained like this.
With the introduction of the Real Estate Commission, all of them are paid by applying to whoever is in the south. After we find the owners, this will be resolved. Now we say that we will step, take distance. The international community did not treat the TRNC fairly. It was an injustice to Northern Cyprus.
“The real owners of this place are obvious”
We have to cut off our own belly. A new process has begun with the steps we have taken today and the rapid work.
A new process has begun for Marash (Varosha).
The real owners of this place are obvious. It is waiting for the day when it will meet its rightful owners.
Marash (Varosha) has acquired its original owners.
TRNC President Ersin Tatar, with the directives of our president, the emergency hospital was put into service within 2 months. As part of efforts to develop the TRNC, Marash (Varosha) has been closed for 46 years. This beautiful area, which was closed, is now opening. We thought it was a requirement of human rights to open Marash (Varosha) with our initiatives and to have the former owners come and get here through the real estate commission. After receiving the approval of the president, we took such a step. It was the right step for us. Owners of property and property here can come. We can return it to them. That’s how this place will open up. Our path is the path of peace and security.
37th anniversary statement from TRNC President Ersin Tatar
Ersin Tatar, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), said that the Greek side has rejected all solution plans so far, but the Turkish side is ready to return to the table if new solution plans are put forward, saying: “now, a solution based on sovereign equality, that is, a two-state solution, must come to the table. The two peoples and the two states that exist in Cyprus must cooperate on the basis of existing facts.” said.
Tatar spoke at a ceremony held on Fazıl Küçük Boulevard on the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the founding of the TRNC.
President of the TRNC, Tatar, the Turkish Cypriot people that it was one of the happiest days of November 15, 1983, stated, “We have a noble and unique struggle for existence with the sacrifice, celebrate the 37th anniversary of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus with great enthusiasm.” said.
“As our national struggle leader Dr Fazil Küçük and our Founding President Rauf Denktaş have often emphasized, this is the stage of establishing the highest, most honorable, independent sovereign state within the reach of a people. As the Turkish Cypriot people, if we can live freely in our own country today with our heads up and honor, we owe it to our people, our national heroes, our glorious ekdada, which extends from Dr Fazil Kucuk to Rauf Denktash, and our Motherland, the Republic of Turkey., “he said.
Explaining that they saw the unique help and support of the Turkish nation at every stage of the struggle, Tatar declared the TRNC on November 15, 1983, stressing that the struggle for independence was continued with great perseverance and determination.
“The adoption of our Declaration of independence in Parliament on 15 November 1983 is a result of the Greek side not accepting our sovereign equality and the international community hearing only the voice of the Greek side., “he said.
Immediately after the establishment of the partnership State in 1960, the Greek Cypriot leader Makaryos temporarily looked at the 1960 treaty and used this agreement as a stage to achieve the goal of Enosis, Tatar said.:
“Since then, we see that there has been no change in the mentality in the Greek segment. Although it still seems that they want a federation, even an agreement based on political equality has not been implemented in negotiations over the past 50 years, as they want neither the administration nor the wealth to share with us. They still reject our sovereign equality and dream of reducing us to a protected minority position, patching us to authority in southern Cyprus, which has become a Greek state with autonomy.”
Tatar recalled that the Greek segment rejected the 2004 Annan Plan and the process collapsed unsuccessfully in Crans Montana in 2017:
“The Greek side rejected political equality and continued to insist on zero troops, zero guarantees and a solution that would be transformed into a unitary state under Greek rule. According to former Greek Foreign Minister Rolandis, our interlocutor, the Greek side has so far rejected all plans for a solution. We, as the Turkish Cypriot side, are ready to return to the table, but now there should be new models of solutions on the table.”
“Now, a solution based on sovereign equality, that is, a two-state solution, must come to the table. The two peoples and the two states that exist in Cyprus must cooperate on the basis of existing facts.” said.
“But no one should expect us to give up the effective and de facto guarantor of Turkey and break our ties with Turkey. We are conscious of how we came to this day. While our fathers and grandfathers fought for existence and freedom against Greek-Greek expansionism as heroic, nefer and mujahideen, our only supporter was our motherland Turkey., “he said.
“If we have a country on which we have established a state and live free, it is thanks to our army.” said.
Stating that the TRNC has made the most important infrastructure investments thanks to Turkey, Tatar said: “Every time we experience an economic bottleneck, Turkey has been the only country that has helped us. We have not forgotten them, we will not forget them.” said.
“We and our people are aware of what those who complain about me to the Greek leader want to do,” Tatar said, saying that Turkey and the TRNC will march together brotherly into the future. the phrase ” used.
“After I brought the issue to the attention of Mr. President Erdogan, we have a modern Emergency Hospital with 100 beds today with the directive given by His Worship. I once again thank everyone who contributed, especially Mr. Erdogan and the state of the Republic of Turkey, in front of our nation.” said.
Tatar also thanked President Erdogan for the signing of 2 economic and financial cooperation protocols between the two countries, as well as for his support for eliminating the rupture in the water supply project from Turkey to the TRNC through pipes under the sea.
Tatar stated that the decision to open the closed Marash (Varosha) gave a new dimension to the Cyprus issue and said: “Marash (Varosha) is under the sovereignty of the TRNC and is the territory of the TRNC. The return of former residents and rights holders who have not been able to go to their property and property for many years is also an extremely important discovery from the point of view of human rights., “he said.
Tatar, who also touched on the issue of hydrocarbon deposits in the Eastern Mediterranean, noted:
“As TRNC, we are determined to own the natural resources on our continental shelf. Depending on the agreements reached in this direction with motherland Turkey, we are grateful for the decisive support provided by motherland. Blue homeland is a very important strategic dimension in the protection of our national interests in the Eastern Mediterranean and the defense of our rights and law, riveting the ties between us and our motherland.
Fortunately for us, Fatih, Yavuz and Kanuni ships continue to drill. On this occasion, I repeat once again our proposals for cooperation with our southern neighbor as the TRNC to take advantage of the hydrocarbon riches around the island of Cyprus on the basis of sovereign equality. I would like to reiterate on this occasion that no initiative excluding Turkey and the TRNC in the eastern Mediterranean has a chance of success and that we will not feed our legitimate rights to anyone.”
Underlining that the Turkish Cypriot people are determined to keep the TRNC alive forever by protecting their lands with consciousness and determination, never compromising sovereignty, Tatar congratulated brother Azerbaijan for its great success in the just and legitimate Karabakh struggle.
The ceremony was attended by President Erdogan and Tatar, as well as president of the TRNC Republican Assembly Tebruken Uluçay, TRNC ministers and deputies, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli, Cabinet members and deputies from Turkey, Turkish ambassador to Nicosia Ali Murat Başçeri, military officials, other officials and a large number of people.
