President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is speaking at the “International Symposium on the law of the Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean in terms of history, politics and inter-country Relations”held at the Dolmabahçe Office.

In his speech, President Erdogan discussed important issues in the Eastern Mediterranean, from the crisis with Greece, which has made provocative attempts against Turkey with the support of Europe, to the coronavirus that causes deaths.

He also gave important messages about Azerbaijan-Armenia tensions. Erdogan, reacting to Armenia, also criticized the countries of the world for their silence against the Armenian attacks.

“Now it is time for reckoning, Azerbaijan had to cut its own belly,” Erdogan said.

Here are the highlights from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s speech;

At the beginning of my words, I once again condemn Armenia, which attacked Azerbaijani territory yesterday.

The crisis that started with the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh in the region should be put to an end.

Turkey will continue to be on Azerbaijan’s side.

The so-called” Minsk Triad”, the United States-Russia-France have not solved this problem for nearly 30 years to this day. They did their best not to solve this problem. And now they give advice. And from time to time, they threaten. What is this threat? Is Turkey here? Is there a Turkish soldier here? Those who say this are those who carry thousands of trucks there in our south, especially in the north of Syria. Those who say this are the ones who parcel out the north of Syria and set up their superiors there. Those who say this are the ones who are throwing javelins in Syria with coalition forces. Look at that logic, that mind!

The occupied territories are the territories of Azerbaijan. Close to 1 million people live far from their land.

Azerbaijan had to cut its own belly.

President Erdogan: Armenia must withdraw from Occupied Territories.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who attended a symposium in Istanbul, made statements about Armenia’s attack on Azerbaijan yesterday. “Armenia must leave the occupied territories,” he said. He also reacted to the map of Seville, which was raised in the eastern Mediterranean discussions: who drew the lines of this map where and how? So we prepare and present it to the world. It’s not hard work.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the International Symposium on maritime law and the Eastern Mediterranean in Istanbul. Speaking about the turn of the Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict, which began yesterday after the attack of the Armenian army, President Erdogan said:

  • I once again condemn Armenia, which attacked Azerbaijani territory yesterday. Armenia must withdraw from its occupied territories. The crisis that started with the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh in the region should be put to an end.
  • Turkey will continue to be on Azerbaijan’s side. The developments have given all countries with influence in the region an opportunity to implement realistic and fair solutions. After Armenia immediately leaves the occupied territory of Azerbaijan, the region will again find peace and peace.
  • The so-called Minsk Triad, the United States-Russia-France, has not solved this problem for nearly 30 years. They also did their best not to solve this problem. Those who say this are the ones who are fighting coalition forces in Syria. Look at that logic, that mind!
  • Just as we are against imperialist expansionism in the eastern Mediterranean, we are against unilateral orders in the same way. The Mediterranean is the sea that unites us and strengthens cooperation. It has to be and it has to stay that way. With all its countries and peoples, the Mediterranean is the roof and home of our great family.
  • We can solve problems not by excluding each other, but by meeting all the actors in the region at the same table. Mediterranean peace does not come out of any equation in which Turkey and the TRNC do not participate fairly.
  • Everyone must now see and accept that peace will not come to the Mediterranean with artificial projects and absurd maps that resemble the colonial sharing tables of the 19th century. What? Map of Seville … who, Where, How did he draw the lines of this map? If we ask Istanbul and Marmara universities to “study the map”, we will immediately prepare this map and present it to the world. It’s not hard work. First, the perspective needs to change.
