Brussels, Belgium – Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, who visited NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at NATO headquarters, did not find the support he had hoped for. “We hope that they will solve this problem through mutual dialogue between them,” Stoltenberg told Sargsyan, pointing out that they are not sides in the conflict.

Armenian President Armen Sargsyan, seeking support in Europe as part of the ongoing conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, held a brief meeting with Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg at NATO headquarters.

A brief joint press conference was held after the meeting, while no details of the meeting were released.

“Azerbaijan and Armenia are important countries for us, ” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in a statement. We are partners with whom we can work on some issues. We hope that they will solve this problem through mutual dialogue between them,” he said.
