Antalya, Turkey – The Oruç Reis ship will conduct seismic surveys in the Eastern Mediterranean until November 23, 2020.

According to the announcement, Oruc Reis seismic research ship’s work in the Eastern Mediterranean, which was extended to November 23, 2020 will continue to be accompanied by ships named Ataman and Cengizhan.

It had previously been announced that Oruc Reis would work in the region until November 14, 2020. Oruc Reis seismic research vessel can carry out all kinds of geological, geophysical, hydrographic and oceanographic research, especially natural resource exploration.

At Oruc Reis, one of the rare fully equipped and multi-purpose research vessels in the world, seismic, gravity, magnetic geophysical surveys can be carried out in 2 and 3 dimensions. The ship can perform 3-dimensional seismic operations up to 8 thousand meters deep and two-dimensional seismic operations up to 15 thousand meters deep.
