Baku, Azerbaijan – As the Azerbaijani army liberated the occupied territories in Nagorno-Karabakh one by one, Armenia, which was defeated in the conflict, increased its attacks on civilian settlements. 6 missiles with a range of 300 kilometers were fired by Armenian forces at Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan. The attack killed 2 civilians and wounded 28 others. The Independent press, on the other hand, wrote that armed drones (UCAVs) determined the course of the war.

Independent experts say UCAVs destroyed Armenian warfare systems; 22 T-72 tanks, artillery batteries, 11 Grad rocket launcher systems, 11 OSA and Strela air defense systems and about 30 military cargo vehicles.

Azerbaijan owns Israeli-made UCAVs and bought six UCAVs from Turkey this summer.

The tanks are completely vulnerable to UCAVs, including those with built-in dynamic protection.

On the other hand, the operation launched by the Azerbaijani army on September 27 was yesterday in its eighth day when Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani civilian settlements from Occupied Nagorno-Karabakh.

As part of the operation, the Azerbaijani army is liberating its occupied territory one by one. Azerbaijan, which held air superiority with UCAVs and UAVs, inflicted heavy losses on Armenia.

Following the capture of strategically important Sukovushan (Madaqiz) and seven villages, attacks by Armenia, which had hit civilian targets since the beginning of the war, also increased.

During the day, Armenia attacked Terter, where civilians live, and Ganja, the second largest city in Azerbaijan, with long-range missiles. 4 of the 6 missiles fired by Armenia in Ganja exploded.

Two civilians were killed and 28 others injured by the rocket that hit a house in the Aziz Aliyeva neighborhood. Many homes also fell into disrepair.

“Armenian military groups are shelling the city of ganja, the Fuzuli region in Karabakh, the villages of Agdam and Terter with artillery and rocket fire, ” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Attacks on ganja were made from the territory of Armenia,” the statement said. Armenia’s attacks on civilians continued into the evening.

Hikmet Hajiyev, advisor to the president of Azerbaijan, announced that Armenia carried out a missile attack on the Industrial City of Mingechevir in Azerbaijan and a artillery fire on Terter, wounding some civilians.

Haciyev also announced that 2 missiles with a range of 300 kilometers were fired by the Armenian army in the areas of speed and Absheron.

Alham Elhamallahverdiyev, whose house was heavily damaged in a missile attack in ganja, said: “they are attacking civilians. I had a wife at home, thank God nothing happened to her, but our house is obvious.

Let us have a home that goes, but let us have a state, a nation. They started attacking civilians because they knew they were going to lose,” he said.

As for the shooting of ganja, which is 45-50 kilometers from the front line, people in the region say that the missiles were fired from outside the Karabakh front line, from inside Armenia.

A total of 23 people were killed and 95 injured in attacks on civilian settlements in Armenia.

Traces of destruction are clearly visible in the Terter district, where Armenia has carried out the most intense attacks. Most of the homes and businesses in the town were destroyed by dropped Grad missiles and mortars.

Despite Armenia’s attacks, people who continue to live in Terter County say they will not leave their homes and believe that Nagorno-Karabakh will be liberated again.

Agayev Ragil Arifoglu, 38, said: “Our Army is fighting heroically, and we did not leave Terter, and we live here.

The Armenians hit this place with missiles and cannons. They killed civilians, children, old people, women, men. But we do not leave our own country,” he said.

After the liberation of Madagiz, located on the main road to Xankent, the capital of Karabakh under the occupation of Armenia, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced that the city was given back the name Sukovushan, which was the name before the occupation.

Sukovuşan, whose location is of strategic importance, is an important junction between Terter-Agdere-xankenti line. With the Sukovuşan Dam in the city, the water shortage experienced in Terter, Ağcabedi, Yevlak and Berde cities of Azerbaijan for 30 years will also be solved.

The Ministry of National Defense (MND) reported that the Azerbaijani army liberated Gabriel, which is critically important in the Karabakh region, from occupation.

“According to information obtained from reliable sources of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani army also liberated the critically important city of Gabriel in the Karabakh region from occupation after the villages of Büyük Mercanlı, Maralyan and Sheybey,” the MND statement said.

“Today, the Azerbaijani army liberated the city of Gabriel and several villages from the occupation. Long Live the Azerbaijani army. Karabakh is Azerbaijan,” he said.

On June 18, 2010, when Mubarak Ibrahimov, the national hero of Azerbaijan, attacked alone and was killed after neutralizing a large number of Armenian soldiers, the position came under the control of Azerbaijani soldiers. The Azerbaijani army planted the Azerbaijani flag on the position.
