Moscow, Russia – Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke about developments in the region after a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

Addressing his Armenian counterpart, Lavrov pointed to the ceasefire agreement signed by the two countries, saying “the rules of the ceasefire are not fully respected.”

“We expect that the full implementation of the agreements we have concluded with our Azerbaijani counterpart and you in the trilateral format, including the defense ministers, will be ensured,” Lavrov said. Armenian Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan, who defended himself after Lavrov’s critical ceasefire agreement, claimed that the ceasefire had been broken by Azerbaijan, saying that an observation mechanism should be established so that the rules of the ceasefire can be followed.
