Baku, Azerbaijan – Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev said that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s statements on Armenia’s attacks once again showed that Azerbaijan is not alone in its justified cause.
Aliyev, President Erdoğan’s letter, than a military provocation against Azerbaijan, the Armenian army started on September 27, opened fire with various weapons, including heavy balls against settlements and military positions from different directions, he said.
Aliyev, who reported that soldiers and civilians were killed as a result of this provocation, noted that the Azerbaijani army also launched a counterattack.August-July attacks and illegal placement of foreigners in occupied Azerbaijani territories showed that Armenia has not given up on its aggressive policy, Aliyev said, noting that the attack on September 27 was not the first time that the Yerevan administration had resorted to military provocation against Azerbaijan.

“Your very clear and harsh statements on this issue once again showed that Azerbaijan is not alone in its rightful cause. Leaders of Turkey’s relevant state institutions, deputies and representatives of civil society also took a firm and clear stance on the issue. I receive many letters of support from our Turkish brothers every day. All this is another clear example of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Union and is highly valued by the Azerbaijani people. On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I thank you and the Fraternal Turkish people for this support”
Aliyev stated that the Turkish Council of which they are a member adopted a statement on September 28 on the importance of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as soon as possible on the basis of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized borders, and thanked Erdogan for this statement.
