Moscow, Russia – Russia and Turkey are great geopolitical powers in Eurasia. Europe’s security is directly linked to Russia’s and Turkey’s geopolitical and geostrategic policy. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the constructive stance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin enabled harmonious solutions to the controversial issues.
Speaking to Russian state television station Rossiya 1, Peskov assessed relations between Russia and Turkey.
Noting that bilateral relations are developing in different areas, Peskov noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approach each other with respect.
“The constructive attitude of the two leaders allows harmonious solutions to be found in controversial situations, although there is disagreement and conflict of interest.”Peskov stressed that Russia and Turkey are great geopolitical powers.
“Russia and Turkey, the two major countries in our region, can and should contribute to security and stability. At least the two countries can do anything to prevent war,” he used the phrase.
