Almaty, Kazakhstan – As the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia continued, Another Country’s support came to Azerbaijan.Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev  said Armenia should withdraw from Nagorno-Karabakh, which Armenia occupied, in accordance with UNSC resolutions

On Sunday September 27, clashes began on the Armenian-Azerbaijani front line after Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani civilian settlements. The Azerbaijani army launched a counteroffensive and liberated some settlements from occupation. As both countries announce mobilization to prepare for war, mutual statements continue to come.

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev  said that” the resolutions of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly and the UN Security Council (UNSC) should be guided when developing approaches to assess the current conflicts.” Regional conflicts, defined as “frozen” or “prolonged over time”, reveal the contradiction between the territorial integrity of states and the right of nations to determine their own future, the two main principles of the UN Charter, the source and basis of modern international law, Tokayev said at a peacekeeping exercise in Almaty. “At this stage, the peoples of the world have now determined their own destiny. So now the territorial integrity of the States has come to the forefront and taken priority,” he said. Armenia insists that it has not implemented many UNSC resolutions for its withdrawal from occupied Azerbaijani territories, including Nagorno-Karabakh, for close to 30 years.
