Tehran, Iran – “The end of the occupation will ensure stability in the region,” said Mahmoud Vaizi, head of the Iranian presidential office, noting that they respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Mahmoud Vaizi, head of the Iranian presidential office, held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Shaheen Mustafayev. “We want to increase and improve relations between the two countries,” he said, noting that Azerbaijan has an important and strategic position in Iranian foreign policy.

Referring to the tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia, he said: “We are closely monitoring the tension between the two countries. With dialogue and negotiation, we are ready for any help to end the tension and solve the problems,” he said. “The end of the occupation will ensure stability in the region,” he said, noting that they respect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

“These claims are completely baseless and false. These baseless claims are being used to damage relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Tehran and Baku relations will not be affected by these lies,” he said.
