Sofia, Bulgaria – Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov pledged Ankara’s support for the Eastern Mediterranean during a meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
As Greece’s provocations continued in the Eastern Mediterranean, a flash statement came from Bulgaria.
In the Mediterranean and Aegean, the Greek Administration’s moves are drawing reactions. Recently, the Greek General Staff tried to intimidate Turkey by announcing that US bombers were in the Aegean.
As these developments continue in the region, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has pledged support for Turkey over tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean.
“As the crisis between Turkey and Greece continues, the Bulgarian Prime Minister Borisov met with Turkey, not Greece,” Bulgarian journalist Velizar Enchev said of the meeting between Erdogan and Borisov.
The solidarity between Turkey and Bulgaria contradicts the position of the EU and the United States, which are on Greece’s side, he said.
