Edirne, Turkey – President of Edirne Medical Chamber Dr. Gürcan Altug, Edirne, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli Coronavirus outbreak in the case increases doubled the average in Turkey, stating that “14 days with a curfew restriction or ban should be” he said.
Since the last week of September, Edirne, Tekirdag and Kırklareli case increases are about 2 times the average in Turkey, noted the president of the Edirne Medical Chamber, Dr. Gürcan Altuğ said that there is serious danger in the Western Marmara provinces.
Altug stated that 111 health workers in Edirne were caught in the corona virus outbreak since the first Coronavirus outbreak began in Turkey, and that as of November 11, there were 267 citizens suffering from the corona virus in Edirne credit dormitories institution.
Pregnant and child cases on the rise
Altug, who stressed that there has been a serious increase in coronavirus cases in the last 15 days across Edirne, noted that there has been a serious increase in the number of pregnant women and children who tested positive for Covid-19. Altug also said that magic operations were stopped except in an emergency.
In order to control the epidemic, Edirne border crossings must be closed as soon as possible and restrictions must be placed on city entrances and exits. “There should be a curfew restriction or ban for 14 days. Measures that will reduce and stop the spread of the virus, including stopping work in all jobs except basic-mandatory and emergency goods/services, should be implemented quickly,” he said.
