Ankara, Turkey – The central bank increased the interest rate from 10.25 per cent to 15 per cent.

After changes in the management of the economy, there was an expectation in the markets that interest rates would be raised.

The central bank has taken a step to meet markets ‘ expectations.

At today’s meeting of the central bank, a decision was made to increase interest rates.

“The one-week repo tender interest rate, which is policy interest, should be increased from 10.25 per cent to 15 per cent,” it said in a statement.
